![](https://www.tumblr.com/widgets/share/tool?posttype=photo&canonicalUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fphotos.hoggippsland.org.au%2Falbums%2Fbairnsdale-toy-run-11-december-2016%2F&content=http%3A%2F%2Fphotos.hoggippsland.org.au%2Fstorage%2Fcache%2Fimages%2F000%2F568%2FDSC-1571%2Flarge.1481454542.JPG&caption=%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3E%3Ca href="http%3A%2F%2Fphotos.hoggippsland.org.au%2Falbums%2Fbairnsdale-toy-run-11-december-2016%2F" title="Bairnsdale Toy Run - 11 December 2016"%3EBairnsdale Toy Run - 11 December 2016%3C/a%3E%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnly+the+truly+committed+%28or+should+I+say+truly+insane%29+pulled+themselves+out+of+bed+so+early+on+a+Sunday+morning.+An+8am+start+was+the+advertised+time+to+leave+Traralgon+Harley+Davidson+for+our+ride+to+Bairnsdale.+When+Andrew+and+I+got+to+the+shop+Garry+Parr%2C+David+Beier+and+Jacob+Hunt+%28my+son+on+his+Yamaha%29+were+waiting+for+us.+Ian+Sherriffs+and+his+son+Sam+turned+up+a+few+minutes+later+and+we+were+ready+to+rock+and+roll.%0A%0AWe+cruised+up+the+highway+through+Rosedale+then+on+to+Sale%2C+where+we+picked+up+Shane+Bartlett+who+was+waiting+on+the+side+of+the+road+camera+in+hand+%28Ride+Photographer%29.+A+total+of+6+Harleys+and+1+%28Yamaharley%29+headed+through+Stratford+via+Bengworden+to+Bairnsdale+Bunnings.%0A%0AThe+car+park+was+cordoned+off+for+the+Toy+Run.+Witches+Hats+and+car+parking+attendants+directed+us+to+park+our+bikes+and+pointed+us+in+the+direction+of+the+food.+Breakfast+was+an+egg+and+bacon+roll+plus+a+cup+of+coffee+or+tea+for+%245.+David+was+already+eating+his+breaky+before+I+got+my+helmet+off%21%0A%0AThere+was+also+a+jumping+castle+for+the+kids+and+free+airbrushing+tattoos.+So%2C+I+lined+up+for+my+first+ever+tattoo.+Jacob+was+thrilled+as+the+Jam+Donut+truck+were+giving+away+donuts.%0AIt+didn%E2%80%99t+take+long+for+the+car+park+to+fill+up+with+motorbike+enthusiasts.%0A%0ASome+more+HOG+Gippsland+Members+turned+up.+Steve+and+Janie+Dent%2C+Paul+Camilleri%2C+Peter+%26+Terri+Wilksch%2C+Reg+Thompson+and+Mark+Stapleton.+We+all+chatted+and+waited+for+ride+instructions.+Then+it+was+start+your+engines.%0A%0ATraffic+control+stopped+oncoming+traffic+so+we+could+all+ride+out+in+one+huge+group.+It%E2%80%99s+hard+to+say+how+many+bikes+but+at+a+guess+200%2B.+What+a+sight+it+would+have+been%2C+many+onlookers+gathered+on+the+sides+of+the+highway+to+wave+and+take+pictures.+Lots+of+bikers+got+into+the+spirit+with+tinsel+and+toys+on+their+bikes+plus+some+wore+Santa+suits+and+elf+suits.%0A%0AWe+headed+up+to+Bruthen%2C+then+Nowa+Nowa+and+onto+Lakes+Entrance.+Stopping+at+each+of+these+towns+to+have+a+short+break+and+collect+presents+donated+by+each+community.+Then+we+headed+back+to+Bairnsdale+Bunnings+to+hand+over+all+the+goodies+to+the+Salvation+Army.%0A%0ATo+finish+the+day%2C+we+all+got+treated+to+as+many+sausages+and+onions+in+bread+as+we+could+eat+and+drinks+for+free.+I%E2%80%99m+not+telling+tales+on+anyone+but+some+HOG+members+did+line+up+quite+a+few+times+for+the+free+sausages.%0A%0AEveryone+agreed+that+a+great+day+was+had+by+all+and+this+event+will+most+definitely+be+in+the+HOG+Gippsland+Ride+Calendar+next+year.%0A%0ACheers%0APamie+Tabone+%3C/p%3E){kind=link}

Blessing of the Bikes - 2016 (51 new items)
An early start at Traralgon H-D saw the Group leave at 8am after some words about safe riding practices from our Road Captains. From Traralgon we headed the back way out of town towards Hazelwood, then past Hazelwood Power Station and the Pondage and almost into Yinnar. Taking a right turn towards Driffield where we encounted some pretty thick Fog. wasn't long before making our way onto the Strezlecki Highway when the sunshine broke out again. It was a straight run though to Mirboo North and onto the 2016 Blessing of the Bikes.
